Leveraging their expertise, this advisory board plays a pivotal role in guiding Raven towards groundbreaking advancements that contribute to the enhancement of national security capabilities for our Defense, Intelligence, and Special Operations customers.
Josh Barnett
Josh Barnett is a senior cybersecurity and IT executive with 20 years of government and contractor experience. His areas of expertise including cybersecurity engineering, compliance, assessment and authorization, information assurance, and computer network defense. He is a former U.S. Navy cybersecurity compliance manager and operational leader. He has spent his career managing security compliance and accreditation teams for DIA, Army G-2 DAMI-IM, FBI, NCIS, and NCDOC. He deployed to Afghanistan and led a team of cyber professionals in a regional network operations security center. He is responsible for developing Validator in a Box (ViBE), a NIST RMF A&A automated solution. He holds a BS in Computer and Information Systems Security. He holds a CISSP certification and has served as a Navy Qualified Validator III.
Ben Goodman
Ben Goodman is a special operations and mission-support advisor with 17 years experience across elite military aviation, Tier One support environments, armed ISR aircraft, aerospace, and management consulting. Ben served as a U.S. Army Non-Commissioned Officer and Crew Chief with the 1/160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, supporting MH-6M Little Bird operations in CONUS and OCONUS environments. During his military career, he supported high-tempo operational activity involving JSOC and federal tactical units. His experience gives him firsthand understanding of the urgency, discretion, readiness standards, and execution discipline required around demanding special operations missions. After leaving the military, Ben continued in aerospace with Gulfstream Aerospace and later with IOMAX USA, an armed ISR aircraft builder and integrator known for missionizing aircraft for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and light-attack roles. At IOMAX, he worked on armed ISR aircraft, gaining hands-on perspective on mission aircraft readiness and operational integration. He also brings management consulting experience from KPMG, where he supported complex client initiatives requiring stakeholder alignment, disciplined execution, and practical delivery. Ben holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina, a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
Frank LaPierre
Frank LaPierre is a senior intelligence executive with over 40 years of joint military and Intelligence Community experience. He served as a career Air Force intelligence officer, specializing in Joint Targeting, Imagery Systems and Analysis, ISR, and Collection Management. He served as a professor and instructor for the Joint Forces Intelligence School and authored a joint targeting textbook. He has joint military intelligence, targeting, weaponeering vulnerability analysis, and contingency planning expertise. His targeting experience includes strategic, theater, and tactical level planning for both conventional and nuclear contingencies. He is a combat experienced operator and joint trainer with OPLAN experience with special emphasis on combat assessment architecture and training. Frank was a plankowner of the 480th ISRW, serving as the lead strategic planner for stand up and the operations division until his retirement. He also held various positions with the 363rd ISRW, STRATCOM J5, CJCS J2, and DIA. He served as the Senior Intelligence Officer onboard the NAOC. He holds a BS degree from Bridgewater State University, an MA in Military History from the USAF Air Command and Staff College, and an MS in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College.
